The easiest way to request an appointment with me is to send an email; [email protected], I return emails within 2-3 days . If you don’t hear back from me, please don’t hesitate to email or call a second time, I’m extremely busy and am not at all irritated by potential clients who reach out more than once as sometimes emails go to junk mail without my knowing it.

I typically have a short wait list

You may also call my office at 907 694 2314, but emails are returned more quickly. Thank you so much for your patience.

Click on the Contact link and send me a appointment request through my website.

Please contact me for my current rate schedule. I can assure you my rates are consistent with my years of clinical experience, LMFT, LPC standards, and my Alaskan colleagues. This is reviewed every 3 years with my billing agency (as per professional standards) to make sure I am maintaining a current and competitive fee schedule. I am happy to accept clients who prefer to pay out of pocket rather than use insurance benefits and that rate can always be negotiated.

In addition, I always keep a certain number of appointments open for clients who have a financial need to be seen at a reduced rate (sliding scale) however these appointments do fill up quickly. If you have a situation that you believe may fit this need, please don’t hesitate to discuss this with me. I’m happy to try and find a way to work with you. I never want someone who needs therapy to not seek it due to financial reasons. Please call so we an discuss,

If I’m not able to offer you an appointment as soon as you hope for, you may need to be placed on my waiting list, or I will help you locate another counselor and/or agency who may have the availability to see you sooner. I am truly happy to help facilitate this if I cannot help you. I firmly believe all people, regardless of their financial abilities have a right to have their mential health needs met in a timely manner.

When you are set up with an appointment to see me, I will send you a small packet of forms to fill out online (due to the earthquake, I keep ALL paperwork online through a HIPPA approved cloud-based system called Simple Practice for your protection as well as mine). This includes an agreement for “Tele-Health” (this an online face-time like therapy, just in case we have another disaster like we did during the earthquake). Of course, none of us expects this to occur, but be sure to sign this form (it’s the first one in the packet (or you will be locked out or all other forms. It covers both of us in case of emergencies or if you or I are out for an extended period of time.
Lastly, I ask that you provide a credit card for any co-payments or out-standing balances on our account. I will not charge this card unless I discuss this with you first and we will talk about this during our first session. We can address any questions regarding these two items as well during that time. Thank you.

Currently, I am a Preferred Provider for Tricare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Aetna. If you owe a copayment, it will be collected on the day of your session. Other arrangements can be made if needed.

Please note that I can bill any insurance whether I am a preferred provider or not.

As a courtesy to you, I will bill your insurance company through my billing company. Payment plans can be made if necessary. It is my philosophy that financial situations should never get in the way of getting help, so please just speak with me and we can work out a variety of arrangements to get you help.

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by callling your insurance carrier prior to your first visit and asking the following questions, if you need help with this, my billing company is happy to assist.

Cancellation Policy

Appointment times are very important to keep, both for your treatment and others. I work hard to keep appointments starting and finishing on time to be courteous to you and the next client. Of course emergencies arise but because both of our time is valuable, I have a firm cancellation and no show policy (barring emergencies). I like to give clients One No-Show/Late Cancellation Courtesy Exemption. After the first time, If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, or cancel with less than 24 hours notification (via email or phone), you will be required to pay a $125.00 fee at the beginning of your next scheduled appointment, this is always difficult, but it’s a reminder that your confirmed time slot is valuable and it’s important to let me know (barring emergencies) that you are going to have to cancel in a timely manner, This is also customary with others in my profession. This fee is not billable to insurance companies so therefore, it is your responsibility.
