At this time, I have no availability for new clients, but have a few options available to you. I truly apologize for this, one option is my waiting list, and if you are looking for a time slot that is between 4-6pm, the wait may be a couple of months. I also have a new and exceptional therapist, an LPC named Michelle Barnett who is sharing my office space and is taking new clients, you may reach her at her email: [email protected], she is an excellent option for those of you wanting to get in to see a counselor without a wait. She has 20 years experience in the counseling field and I am very happy to recommend her.
Click on the Contact link and send me a appointment request through my website, this is the quickest and easiest way to reach me. I return emails within 1-3 days . If you don’t hear back from me, please don’t hesitate to email or call a second time, I’m extremely busy and am not at all irritated by potential clients who reach out more than once as sometimes emails go to junk mail without my knowing it.
Thank you for your patience.
My current rate schedule is equal (or less) to that of my colleagues with the same amount of experience and training.
Initial Intake Assessment 60 minutes (one time fee) – $350.00
Individual Psychotherapy 50 minutes 90837- $250.00
Couple/Family Therapy 50 minutes 90847 – $275.00
No Show (less than 24 hour notice for any reason other than emergency or illness) – $125.00
Please note – I DO NOT charge for notes, returning phone calls, emails, or any paperwork preparation (that is not usual or customary). If I need to appear in court for any reason, my fee is $150.00 per hour beginning from when I leave my office until I return to my office, not just time spent in the courtroom.
In addition, I am happy to accept clients who prefer to pay out of pocket rather than use insurance benefits. My out of pocket rates according to the new “No Surprises Act” are as follows:
Individual, Couple, or Marital Therapy: $150 per 50 min hour
I am willing to lower this rate if financial needs are met.
Also, I always keep a certain number of appointments open for clients who have a financial need to be seen at a reduced rate, this is very important for me to offer, however these appointments do fill up quickly. If you have a situation that you believe may fit this need, please don’t hesitate to discuss this with me. I’m happy to find a way to work with you. I never want someone who needs therapy to not seek it due to financial reasons. Please call so we can discuss this.
If I’m not able to offer you an appointment as soon as you hope for, you may need to be placed on my waiting list, or I will help you locate another counselor and/or agency who may have the availability to see you sooner. I am truly happy to help facilitate this if I cannot help you. I firmly believe all people, regardless of their financial abilities have a right to have their mential health needs met in a timely manner.
When you are set up with an appointment to see me, I will send you a small packet of forms to fill out online (due to the earthquake, I keep ALL paperwork online through a HIPPA approved cloud-based system called Simple Practice for your protection as well as mine). This includes an agreement for “Tele-Health” (this an online face-time like therapy), please but be sure to sign this form (it’s the first one in the packet (or you will be locked out or all other forms) we never know when this will become necessary, It covers both of us in case of emergencies or if you or I are out for an extended period of time.
Lastly, I ask that you provide a credit card for any deductibles owed, weekly co-payments or out-standing balances on your account. I will not charge this card unless I discuss this with you first and we will talk about the arrangement during your first session. We can address any questions regarding these two items as well during that time.
Please note: Even if you have insurance coverage, it is ultimately your responsibility that your bill be paid in full in a timely manner. You will receive occasional statements from me if you have an outstanding account, I ask your cooperation in paying your bill as soon as you can. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
As a courtesy to you, I will bill your insurance company through my billing company. Payment plans can be made if necessary. It is my philosophy that financial situations should never get in the way of getting help, so please just speak with me and we can work out a variety of arrangements to get you help.
Currently, I am a Preferred Provider for Tricare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Aetna.
Please note that I can bill any insurance whether I am a Preferred Provider or not, that does not necessarily mean they will reimburse me, but I have the credentials to bill them. You will find my billing company, Therapy Practice Solutions, and my personal virtual assistant and biller, Meagan Peltier, extremely helpful in this area. Meagan can pre-authorize with your insurance company, will handle all insurance claims, discuss the financial issues with you and help in any way on that side of the house.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by callling your insurance carrier prior to your first visit and asking the following questions, if you need help with this, Meagan is happy to assist.

Appointment times are very important to keep, both for your treatment and others. I work hard to keep appointments starting and finishing on time to be courteous to you and the next client. Of course emergencies arise but because both of our time is valuable, I have a firm cancellation and No Show Policy (barring emergencies). I like to give clients One No-Show/Late Cancellation Courtesy Exemption. After the first time, If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, or cancel with less than 24 hours notification (via email or phone), you will be required to pay a $125.00 fee at the beginning of your next scheduled appointment, this is always difficult, but it’s a reminder that your confirmed time slot is valuable and it’s important to let me know (barring emergencies) that you are going to have to cancel in a timely manner, This is also customary with others in my profession. This fee is not billable to insurance companies so therefore, it is your responsibility.
